New member A4 TDI

Just bought an 04 AVF A4 TDI 130 after owning 2 AFN 110 passats. Hard cold starting and a lack of grunt between 1100-1600 RPM so working through a few basic things to hopefully improve things. Planning on replacing the EGR valve this weekend (oil weeping from the holes) and reading up a bit on my latest TDI...

I wish we had that car in North America...FYI I've heard of stripped gears on the intake manifold regulator (throttle) electric motor. Scan the car for codes and make sure the throttle is tight as long as you're in there.

hi have you any lighjts lit up on dash, i only changed pads and brake symbol appeared and car was flat till it reached 2ooorpm, look and and wire loose on pad, something simple as that, and then all was normal when i fixed wire,
