Just purchased a new Comfortline with multimedia package. Test drove numerous vehicles but am impressed with the solid fit/finish and efficiency of the TDI thus far. As a 1st-time owner of a TDI, this website appears to be "the" comprehensive source I may need in the future. Right now I'm particularly interested in tips for newbies relating to winter use in extreme cold - Ontario typically experiences our share of extended cold snaps so I want to be prepared. Thanks in advance for hosting such a wonderful resource!

Extreme cold? Try powerservice for winter - it's in the white bottle. Also make use of your engine coolant heater. There should be a plug near the foglight grille.

The multimedia package is a smart choice, it's well worth the price vs. buying similar aftermarket parts or buying the parts and trying to retrofit them later.
