Hi VW lovers hope you are well.
I purchased my 2007 GT Sport Golf TDI with only 1 key so purchased a new key and fob from a independent.
I had the key cut and arranged for a local mechanic to program the transponder.
All went well the new key start's the car opens locks but the only issue with the new key is that I get immobiliser active safe info on the dash.
The mechanic could not work out how to fix this.
It's not a big problem as I will only have the new key as a spare anyway but it would be great if I could fix it.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You can't just have a new key made and hope it will work you need to find the Secret Key Code (SKC) from the ecu.

VAG-COM\VCDS won't find it only programme it once you have the SKC, VAG-TACHO is the only app with is own cable that can find it, which you can Google.
