Hi all,

New to this forum. Just picked up my second tdi. 2003 Jetta Wagon GLS with 120k on it. I did have a 2000 jetta sedan with nozzels and a tune but the turbo blew and car ran away. So instead of dealing with that I just got a wagon which i have really wanted and loving it. So on here to learn as much as i can about maintence to keep this car for a long time and hopefully no more blown turbos!

Welcome! Were you planning on transferring the nozzles to the new Jetta? FYI, there's a small article in the FAQ about engine runaways.

No i am not putting the nozzels in the new car! thats what caused the problem in the first place they were way to big and stressed the turbo, caused the clutch to slip, and eventually killed the turbo.

Luckly it wasnt a bad runaway, just kept giving like bursts of power and nothing crazy. It did cause the injector springs to get stuck/broken. Also a possible chance for motor work. So luckly I was just able to sell it to my mechanic and forget about it!
