Hi, I will be changing the DSG fluid on my MK7 TDI Sportwagon soon. I've been reading up on how to do it, I've bought the tools, etc. There is an excellent how-to on this forum, and a few good youtube videos which were nice to find.

My question: the forum how-to and videos I've found so far have all been for older model cars, the forum's how-to was done using a 2006 Jetta. I wanted to double check that the general procedure for those cars are the same as for the MK7. Ie, the fluid used is about 4.5L, the DSG filter is in a similar location, the factory-fill method temperature is 35-45 degrees Celsius. Also, is the procedure still the same for MK7 gas and diesel cars?

You have been here for along time but your car spec still says 0. Which DSG is fitted 6 or 7 speed, post the transmission/gearbox code of the data sticker.

Data Sticker/Options Sticker and Engine Codes

Please add your car spec. ;)

I'll update my car spec. I have the 6-speed DSG, I'll see about the gearbox code on the car when I have a chance,

The 6 speed DSG you change the oil and filter every 40,000 miles. There are write ups in TDI Wiki.

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 01/2014-06/2015, Model: Golf Sportwagen, Engine Code: CRUA, 110Kw, 150PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: North American Region (NAR): Turbocharged Direct Injection Common Rail (TDI-CR) Timing belt

The strange thing is ETKA doesn't list the Sportwagen even in USA market even though ElsaWin does.

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 05/2014-03/2017, Model: Golf/Variant/4Motion, Transmission Code: PAL, Transmission Type: 6A
Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 05/2015-05/2015, Model: Golf, Transmission Code: PGN, Transmission Type: 6A, Remarks: 02E Gearbox (front-wheel drive)

Thanks for the info. Maybe they didn't list the car in North America since few were sold before the scandal began, and the rest of the cars sat on the dealer lots until agreements were made with the country, two years for Canada.

The tdi wiki says it's for mk5 and mk6 cars, is why I asked about my mk7.

It's still cold over here, I'll look for my data sticker when it gets a bit warmer, thanks.
