Hello,

I have recently bought a pair of OEM Bi-xenon headlights for my Golf MK5 currently equipped with the standard halogen headlights. I have the highline CECM and my own VCDS cable.
My question is since the bi-xenon headlights I got didn't come with any ballasts and igniters, how could I install directly LED bulbs? Do I need to follow the original guide for the retrofit but just change the bulbs to LED's or is there something more specific I need to do? Like would I still need to wire the shutter wire?
Only thing I know for now is that I need to get a 10 to 12 pin adapter so I can skip some headaches.

I would be extremely glad if someone can clarify the steps needed.

Thank you in advance!

I’m in the same boat as I need the remaining steps after pinning the headlight plugs A and D for the shutter and proper VAG coding.

Hey, I did have luck. So what you need to do if you are using the plug and play connectors is run the pin 11 wires from each light to the the select plugs and corresponding pins. From the driver side the pin 11 wire runs to plug D/6 and pin 11 from passenger side runs to plug A/5

The link above shows the wiring diagram

As for VCDS coding you need to enter the Cent. Elect. Find the section todo with the Bi Xenon lights I can add pictures for this part of the install tomorrow.

Wow! it looks so much better with those lights right, I'm gonna buy them now if it's as simple as that! THANK YOU SO MUCH
also, do you recommend adapters from a specific place or this good? shorturl.at/dfsIX (they just take more than a week lol)

I bought my adapters on Ali-Express they work great. I recommend changing the bulbs out for these ones

Other than that that’s all you’ll need!

You're awesome! I'll share updates when I get the parts and install them! Looks like I'll need ballasts. Do yours move when you turn?
Thanks man, I like to help others where I can and I figured I wouldn’t be the only one that was looking at doing this install. Unfortunately I don’t have the movement when turning but honestly that to me just seems like more of a headache. Hopefully everything thing works out for you can’t wait to see the outcome.
