Great sight lots of detailed information. Thanks for your contributions.

I have a 2006 Jetta TDI at 93,000 and a 2004 Pasat TDI at 120,000 miles both with camshaft wear. Love my TDI’s but it is sad that PD motor has such costly design flaws camshaft, dual mass flywheel, and egr valve. I am trying to determine what repairs to do first or if it is time trade in on a sport wagon (or sadly Toyota). I will post questions in the appropriate forums.

As these cars get well into the 100,000 plus range we will learn if is just about the 505.01 oil or VW missing the mark. The camshaft wear I can almost tolerate but dm-flywheel problems…shame on you VAG. I smell class action.
