Dear all,

greatings from Germany. While looking for information and hints concerning the problems with my Passat MYTURBODIESEL.com is the best site for VW Diesels I found up to now.

Since one year I drive the Passat from 2001. After normal acceleration the engine is turning into limp home. From the nominal 131 HP about 50 are still present. The failure memory of the ECU noticed: Max pressure of turbocharger has been overrun. Maybe after 150000 km the charger has been sooted.
Does anybody know which peripheral parts are involved in the steering of the boost pressure regulation?

Now I wouldn't have expected a German to come on here for advice regarding a german car lol. There's a lot of info in the faq pages, here's one for a PD engine, it wont be exactly the same but most of it is still relevent.

ECU, N75 solenoid, vacuum lines, vacuum pump, VNT actuator. On the other side, various sensors such as MAP sensor.

1999 passat boost problem

My 1999 passat turbo is not boosting I changed all the rubber pipes feedin the turbo changed the solinoid down the front of the engine but still no difference any Help
