I need to take the charge air side off my borg-warner turbo to drill out one of the bolts the used to hold on the actuator.... can anyone point me in the direction of a how-to or schematic of the turbo so that I can see how to take it apart.

it looks like it might just be a snap ring that holds that side on?

Thanks!

I did remove the turbo, but the outlet for the charge air (pipe that goes to intercooler) is in the way...

Ah jeez that sucks. If you have access to a welder you could always try welding a nut to the end of the bolt and having another go at torquing it out of there before disassembling the turbo. If you try that then you should also heat up the bosses with a torch before torquing. I don't know much about disassembling the turbos unfortunately. Good luck!

Thanks,

I think that I am going to just take it to an engine repair/machine shop and let them do it. they cost a bit, but I think they deal with stuff like this on a regular basis/have the right tools so it should be an easy job for them... keeping my fingers crossed :D
