I have a 2010 Jetta Sportswagon TDI and have been looking all around for a solid, steel partition for the cargo area to hold back pets and cargo. I order one from http://volkswagen.dealerfit.com/store/volkswagen-jetta-cargo-partition-prod318_28715.php
It is not cheap, but is made in sweden and I am very happy with it.
Note: If installed, have to switch out cargo bay "pull cover" to another model since it is not capatible with the factory original. This is detailed in the installation instructions. Just thought I pass it on!

Not cheap? Boy, you aren't kidding. That is outrageous for a bit of metal mesh with no specs or mounting details described.

Hope it works out for you, but for $326 I'll stick with the very nice $100 wire dog crate we bought which fits perfectly and offers much more safety in the event of a collision.

I bought a similar part used for a Passat wagon. It's very sturdy, tight, no rattles, and fits perfectly. The reason why I didn't get a weathertech or similar dog barrier is because heavy items are put in the trunk area and it's dangerous if they fly forward. This thing is very sturdy - the weather tech just lightly presses against the roof and floor to hold in place.

It fits snug against the interior trim and is held in place by large, flat hooks that hook over the metal pegs for the rear seats. It can stay in place with the rear seats up or down. You can't see the hook but here is a picture of how the passat one sits and an ebay listing for the older passat http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
