What kind of plug do you have to use to scan your ecm. An ob2 will not work

Hi Twostick22, I am new here, too, and learning my way around. I think what you are looking for is a VCDS by Ross-Tech. It is a pretty amazing diagnostic tool and appears to go beyond what an obd2 will do. If you are talking about backing up your ecm you might want a FlashZilla v3 It is a little computer that allows you to read and write tunes to your vehicle.
