Yes, read the writeup in here: https://www.myturbodiesel.com/threa...-get-the-skc-or-how-to-disable-the-immo.2290/ you must know your SKC number. If you don't have it, there's no way to jump it to get to the dealer. I suggest following the troubleshooting steps in the writeup. If none of them work and you don't have the SKC, go to the dealer.
I would just try to fix it. Have you tried leaving it for an hour with the ignition on? Normally it resets itself.
jetta immobilizer

have same problem,i am in the virgin islands and we have no vw dealers.i need to find a way to bypass
the immobilizer.or the diagram and voltages that should read at the antennae.

Dont try to bypass the immobilizer, instead of doing that, try this.
Place the key in the ignition and turn it without trying to start the engeene and leave the key therein the ignition like that for a while for about 40 minutes
it will reset the immobilizer to come back to normal even the warning light will desapear.

Using this method to reset the immobilizer is it a permanent fix? my RFID chip is permanently broken ( i drilled through it to make a key ring, didn't know it existed there haha)
No. You need a new key. There is no way around it unless you delete the immobilizer through chip tuning.

I know this might be late but here is how I did my 02 Jetta TDI. Disconnect battery for 1/2 hour or so. With the doors closed and locked reconnect battery and key in hand unlock, lock and unlock the drivers door several times. Then unlock the trunk several times. Then put in the key and vroom it should work. It did for me and saved me $95 plus the expense of a tow dolly. Hope it works for you
