Hi
i'm finding it difficult to get my wife's polo on the axle stands - never had such problms with caddy and earleier cars (yes, i read https://www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/mechanic-tips-and-garage-tricks-and-organization/)
the problem is that the only place i can find to jack the car up is the proper jacking points - but if the jack is there it's not possible to put the axle stands there. All the underbody seems to have a plastic cover over, except the jacking points and the soft metal edge between them.
Any ideas? The ramps can only take the car up a little, and it's not possible to get four wheels on ramps.
any help / insights would be great,
thanks
pete

What year Polo? You can add that to your car spec for reference in case you have other problems. You can remove VW from your car spec as we know who makes the Caddy.

Jacking any vehicle up you either use the standard jack on the sills. A trolley jack use a load bearing member along with the axle stands.
