New member. Just bought a 2003 passat s 19tdi. blown away with how good it is but it came without the owners manual. Any info on how to switch the air con off would be appreciated as i cant find the off button :annoyed

There should be an ECON button. Do you have climatronic auto control or dials?

So if I understand your statement above, the ECON button is for running the A/C fan and turns off the A/C functions (compressor etc)?. The reason I asked is: I have a 2006 Jetta TDI and when ever I push the ECON button, I stop getting cold air coming in. ( I have dials for climate controls)
