Hi everyone,

I've got an old VW Golf TDI (2001) that recently played up. It's having bother starting and the turbo keeps falling out. I have had the ECU checked and it came back as having no problems. But meanwhile we have tried all the other possibilities - changed the relays etc. and it is still not working properly. Without having to go to the expensive VW-dealer to hear that i might need a new ECU unit I thought it might pay buying an second hand one. So I did, but I don't have the immobilizer codes-ofcourse I never thought of needing them:-// Can anyone tell me if there is a way around and what to do? Thanx!

Why do you think the ECU is causing the turbo to lose power? It's almost never the problem. Have you checked the vacuum actuator? What about the N75 solenoid and vacuum lines?
