I just replaced the steering column in my 2000 jetta and now the immobilizer light is on and the car will not start. Is there a way to by pass it? Please help
Does it not start then cut out? That's the usual for an immo problem. Anyway if it is the immo you could try leaving the key in the ignition in the on position for 30 mins or you could try disconnecting the battery leads and tying them together for 30mins, both of those methods have worked for others but other than that you could try the faq
Yes but it requires an ECU flash. Quickly and easily bypass it? With immo 2 you still have to know the SKC number. You probably damaged the wiring for the ignitino switch or antenna.
