If your question is about the Audi A3 TDI please post in the mk4, mk5, or mk7 sections. This is because the Audi A3 uses the same chassis and engine as the same generation Volkswagen Jetta/Golf.

If your question is about the Audi Q7 TDI, please post in the Audi Q7 TDI, Touareg TDI, and Cayenne diesel forums because these share chassis and engines.

Thank you.

The forum titles are confusing you have Mk7 VW Golf, Sportwagen and Audi A3 TDI forums and Mk5 VW Jetta, Sportwagen, and Audi A3 TDI forum with no mk unless your saying Mk7 Audi A3 or Mk5 Audi A3 or year difference.

They have made the Audi A3 from 1997 to current.

Manufacturer: Audi, Date(s) Used: 01/1997-08/2002, Model: Audi A3/S3/Sportback/Limousine/Quattro, Engine Code: AHF, 81Kw, 110PS, 1.9 Ltr, 4 Cyls , Remarks: Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI)

Manufacturer: Audi, Date(s) Used: 05/2016-03/2017, Model: Audi A3/S3/Sportback/Limousine/Quattro, Engine Code: CXXB, 81Kw, 110PS, 1.6 Ltr, 4 Cyls , Remarks: Turbocharged Direct Injection Common Rail (TDI-CR)

Yes, it's kind of confusing because the Audi models don't overlap by the exact year with the VW models. Do you have a suggestion on where to organize them?

The only suggestion I can give is what's on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_A3 they only show 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations and my VAG Engine & Transmission Codes

First generation (Typ 8L; 1996–2003)
Second generation (Typ 8P; 2003–2012)
Third generation (Typ 8V; 2012–present)

That goes by the same rules for other models. We had a 2009 Jetta posted in the Mk4 section so I moved it. People said it was an Mk4. You said its an Mk4 chassis so you moved it back.

Audi Q7 has 1st and 2nd generations.

First generation (Typ 4L;2005–2015)
Second generation (Typ 4M; 2015–)

Yes, the 2009 Jetta was a mk4 because it was based off the older platform. It's kind of tricky because they still build brand new cars based off older generations, in countries where I'm not familiar with the models.
