Hi i replace my feul injection pump on vw golf 1.9 tdi alh engine car now start bout smoke on accelerating anyone can help ?

Check your IQ: do a search- either hammer mod or VCDS adaptation (depends on how much of a change is needed- bigger would likely be better off doing the hammer mod first and then fine-tuning via VCDS adaptation). Might be that this was also a step missing from this great write-up.

I just wanted to report that I finally got time to swap out my injector pump and was able to do it fairly quickly with just loosening and moving the timing belt out of the way to slip off the pump sprocket and assure engine and belt did not move...re installed, set timing and all good so far. So it is doable without gong thru all the motions as explained in some of the threads and the manual. I did not need a new belt just my pump needing work
