I finished this article a while ago but I wanted to finish a companion article on how to swap in a mk6 style radio.

If you have a mk6 dashboard you just pop the trim around the radio off.

If you have a mk5 dashboard you have to remove the air diffuser and the faceplate has some screws holding it down.

Unlike older cars there's no need for special radio removal keys.

Unlike older cars the radio remembers the last car it was installed in so there's no need for the code, even if you pull the radio out. If you install the radio in another car you do need the code.

The full article is here:http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a5/vw-jetta-radio-removal.htm and has been added to the FAQ, enjoy!
