I drove a mk4 jetta the other day and it feels like the brakes are much grippier. Not just the brake grip at the wheels, but the pedal feels a lot more aggressive. You don't have to press as hard to get more braking. How can I change this on my car?
Do you have to pump twice to get good braking? If so, you might have an air bubble in the brake lines. Try using more aggressive pads, that will give the brakes more bite.
I've noticed it as well, some mk4 just have a more sensitive brake pedal.
You can try more aggressive brakes and rotors and that will increase the "bite" of the brakes. Double pumping the brakes will show that you have an air bubble somewhere in there. Just because you bled the brakes before, if water gets into the system and boils, it creates a bubble.
