Is that the cover you're trying to get off? I took my kkk apart and cleaned it recently. It has a ring of small bolts round the edge at each end. Just unbolt them, clean the vanes, clean the waste gate and stick it back together. Pay attention to the direction of the exhaust joints for the down pipe and manifold so that it all lines when you put it back on.
this is ALH picture. i have almost the same layout of everything except no torx bolts, so i dont know how to release VNT vane assembly from manifold.

Can you take a picture? It would help identify the bolts. Or are you saying there are no bolts? Take some pictures anyways and it would help show if there are any seams.
Aha, I always thought it was the garret had the variable vanes and the kkk had the waste gate. That's another bit of knowledge gained. Cool.
foxracing_ca what you trying to say by this video???

Ive figured it out, as always very simple.

start from pic 1, thats how it looks after disassembly.
then move 8 vanes with your fingers one by one clockwise direction. pic 2 and 3.

remove ring with small screwdriver.
remove 5 little rollers.
and remove one more ring under rollers pic3

looks like the rest of assembly cant be disassembled, i think its pressed in the manifold.
clean everything with steel brush, blow it with compressed air.
move all the vanes around 360deg they should move easily without sticking.
clean little hole with small drill bit, pic 3 previous post, in the lower left part of the picture.
assemble everything back in order it was removed. now vnt moves nice and easy.
I have the same turbo but mine does not have rollers and can’t be removed with screws either, I think it is pressed. Is there any other way to remove it?
