Changing the halogens is pretty straight forward if you're familiar with VW headlights. There's a little metal clip which holds the bulb. You can't see the turn arrow on the headlight holder so these pictures should help.

The xenon is tricky though so I took some pics and put together a writeup. The ignitor igniter? has a lock tab which is held by the ingitor plug. You have to remove the plug before trying to remove the ignitor or else it will jam.

The xenon is d2s 35 watt, the flash to pass/halogen high in the xenon is a h7u 55 watt. Turn signal is h2 wll 21 watt.

The halogen high and low are both h7 55 watt. turn signal is 1156a 25 watt.

I would bet that good ones are as good ;) The cheapest ones are probably made in China and don't have as good quality but will probably work.
