I added some circuits to the fusebox in the Jetta. It's pretty easy but there is a trick - you have to remove some trim and a brace to get access. Before you add a fuse you should consult the wiring diagram or at least test each spot with a multimeter to figure out what spot gets power when. Some spots may be powered at all times, some may be powered with the key ON, and some may only be powered with the engine running. Some more may be powered a few minutes after the car is shut off too!

The biggest problem is finding terminals. I have a bag o' terminals from various wiring harnesses left over from projects.
