I was playing around with the car today and took some screenshots that relate to activating the comfort window operation. This lets you open or close the windows using the remote key fob.
This is in addition to the regular way of sticking the key in the door lock and holding it locked or open to close or open the windows. The difference is that using the key also opens/closes the sunroof. Although there's a checkbox in VCDS in the CCM (convenience control module) on your Jetta, it won't work. Maybe this was for Rabbit and Golf or Passat, I don't know.
Mk4 Jetta, Golf, and New Beetle, and Passat could also do something similar but it wasn't possible to do it through VCDS or vag com. It had to be done using a special single use OBD2 flash tool or through another program that only runs off DOS.
