IMO, these cars can last a very long time if you take care of them. 100,000 miles is low for a TDI. Just try to find one in good shape since if you get one beat up, expect a project car. I'd say 200,000 miles is high.

They hold up well, watch out for rust or poor maintenance. There's a buyer's checklist at the top of the forum FAQ.

Just remember that with high mileage, rubber parts like the suspension bushings, struts, bushings, all get worn out.

What were you expecting for 10 year old cars? It's very rare to find one under 100,000 miles but engine wise, they last very well. But like any car, the suspension will wear out, the interior will wear out, the body will wear out. Do your research and be willing to wait for the right one.

Okay, I see, only passat and jetta, no golf except in the next generation and in canada and not in TDI.
