Hello, I was just wondering how to replace the tailgate on my 2005 Passat Wagon. I recently bought the car and it's in pretty good shape but the tailgate has a huge hole in it. It was a better decision to replace the tailgate and I purchased another one for a good price. Now my dilemma is removing the old one and putting the new one on.. Are there any tutorials on how to do this correctly without damaging any electrical components?

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

I can't tell you of hand if its anything special unless I search ElsaWin.

Any problems search TDI Wiki as that covers write ups and forum posts.

I searched on the below custom Google search. Came up with nothing. You may want to look at jetta wagon hatch not for specifics but generally how it's done.
