Hi I’m obviously new to this forum so here my introduction lol

My name is chris but call me dycie, 31yo drive buses/coaches.

My car is a 2006 skoda Octavia vrs pfl with a 2.0tdi PD170 BMN, current mods are DPF, EGR, inlet flap deletes, alloy wheels & coilovers.
I have an issue that absolutely no one can figure out :( when accelerating at about 2k revs it’s stutters, hesitates and surges there is not fault codes what so ever, and nothing obviously wrong. I’m at a complete loss with it please someone help me :(

Scanned with what?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Is the car mapped? I'm sure it needs mapping for the dpf delete etc. I think the intake flap thing also varies the air flow on the 2L But not a 100% sure.

I know it's fairly common for the 2L to have a little flutter around 2000 rpm but it might be exaggerated on yours due to the mods.

Just a thought

codes stored at all via VCDS, I’m thinking it obviously mechanical rather than sensors or electrical components

It only has the DPF & EGR Deleted from the ecu this has been done by 2 specialist garages in my area to which both can’t tell what the problem might be but can tell me the software is fine
