just an intro: i have a 2005 tdi wagon that i am getting ready to replace the dreaded timing belt on.
i live in rochester, ny and also have an 84 suburban with a 6.2 diesel.

It's still better than chains, a belt is cheap and if it weren't for the motor mount, wouldn't be so dreaded.
