hello all,

I have a 2002 Jetta TDI which I have owned for a year and 12,000 miles. All was well until yesterday's oil change. Upon removal of the engine cover, I saw that the foam underneath had disintegrated and was all over the engine. I blew it all off with compressed air and completed the oil change. Then I drove the car and there was no boost! There was some at first, then the car very briefly stumbled. now it is running smoothly but my scanner confirms zero boost. There are no codes.
I will start reviewing the various forums, but any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Robert

Hello, I am using a generic faultcode reader that can also display engine parameters. All appears normal except no boost. The manifold MAP reading goes from 97kpa in deceleration to 110kpa full throttle. I will give the vacuum lines a thorough look tonight.
Thanks.
