hello all,

I have a 2002 Jetta TDI which I have owned for a year and 12,000 miles. All was well until yesterday's oil change. Upon removal of the engine cover, I saw that the foam underneath had disintegrated and was all over the engine. I blew it all off with compressed air and completed the oil change. Then I drove the car and there was no boost! There was some at first, then the car very briefly stumbled. now it is running smoothly but my scanner confirms zero boost. There are no codes.
I will start reviewing the various forums, but any advice would be appreciated.

Hi man, It's probably worth checking the engine bay for any pipes that may have got dislodged when you were clearing the foam. Check the turbo pipes aren't disconnected and look for any vacuum pipes that may have got damaged. Also worth checking the wire to the maf sensor's still connected. When you say scanner, are you talking about a faultcode reader for the ecu?:nana2:
