Hi,
I have just found this site and it looks really good. I have just spent today replacing the sump/oil pan on my 2000 B5 Passat. Tomorrow I will finish off everything. I will need to re-align the sub frame somehow, and that's how I found this site - I found a howto written by Chittychittybangbang, which is here somewhere. I will hopefully now, go and find it and learn :)

All the best

Welcome! Go go power ranger, go to the FAQ articles and learn :D

You must have a 4cyl because the 6 cyl pan is easy to remove. The 4 cyl is incredibly annoying to remove.welcometomyturbodies

Hi there, I do indeed have a 4 cyl. It was a PITA, to say the least. It was your Oil Pump and Balance Shaft replacement page that I was looking at, you did a good job with the write up and pics. I thought it was leading on to the sub frame alignment procedure, but it didn't. It starts off with the test mandrels in the first part of the procedure.
I will head on over to the FAQ section and see if I can find it.

Thank you
