Just a short note to introduce myself and my new project. I have just purchased a 2002 A6 allroad tat has ben wet and has no keys - why? well the price was right, the car body perfect and I am a long time VAG fan and work in the auto industry. Been focused on drying her out properly and cleaning the many computers etc. to prevent future failures but an now turning my attention to the no key issue. The local locksmith has my drivers door lock and is confident he can get a key cut but we are looking at ways of tackling the immobilisr issue, I have a full version of VAG-COM but know I will need my SKC. Just don't see why the local dealer should charge $300-$500 for the key plus coding. Anyway, will update you on how I fare.
