VW used to advertise a stowage compartment under luggage compartment cover - 1K0 0611 78 A

I searched a long time ago for this but it appears that no one stocks them anymore.

Golf / Rabbit Storage Tray

As anyone seen these anywhere?

A friend at work has a 2005 Seat Leon 1,9 TDI and he bought one of eBay for £19. I tried it in mine but it was a couple of inches too short to sit on the ledge. I could have made some brackets but I wasn't that struck on it.

IIRC they were on sale for dirt cheap about 6 months ago because they were being discontinued.

Maybe so chitty but does anyone know of any old stock? I don't know why VW discontinued them when they were useful?

IIRC quailallstar first posted it as discontinued and on sale here and on the vortex where any remaining were quickly sought out and purchased. I have no clue why it was discontinued. VW often as sales on stuff that is dirt cheap...if you ever needed it. Some examples are entire xenon headlights for the price of a single bulb, fenders, etc.

Maybe the dealer has access to everyone else's inventory. You could asking if they can search elsewhere if your local dealer doesn't have it.

Sorry this is an old thread of mine but I noticed VW Golf Rabbit Gti Rear Storage Tray - 1K0061178A on eBay but it isn't cheap?
