i was wondering if it's absolutely necessary to upgrade the master cylinder when upgrading to the girling 60 calipers? if i don't, how off will the brake pedal travel be, roughly?
According to other people, it'll be low. I've never done it so you could try it without the new master cylinder. By this age a rebuilt master cylinder couldn't hurt. Just make sure to use a good kit.
I thought about this mod but didn't do it, in my research it was much improved when used with the bigger MC. It's because you need to move slightly more fluid with the bigger brakes. I decided to just spend the money on new shock and other stuff because the OEM stuff was worn an gibing me alot of brake dive.
