Sadly, a station attendant put gasoline in my 2009 TDI. I did not know until later, when the car wouldn't start. Nearly $500 later, I found out that seven gallons of gasoline had to be pumped from my car, filters replaced, yada yada yada. The dealer said that I should have no problems, as this was a one-time event, and the car wasn't driven far. Question: can I expect this car to return to normal operation, or will there be unforeseen circumstances in the future?

Save the receipts or demand that the gas station provide an extended warranty under threat of lawsuit. The problem is that the dealer is saying it's fine. Gasoline can't lubricate like diesel can and some have reported metal flakes in the fuel filter due to a damaged high pressure fuel pump. Some high pressure fuel pumps have even blown up on their own. If it runs fine until the warranty expires and there are no metal flakes then you are fine. If not you could be looking at a $9000 repair.
