The fuel filter for the Q7 TDI V6 3.0 part number is Audi # 7L6 127 434 c (7L6127434c). This is same part number for the 3.0L CATA V6 Touareg engine. The fuel filter housing is also the same for the Touareg and Q7.

The filter housing is shown below on the Q7 - it's on the very right side and has a silver cylinder on the firewall coming out of it and 4 hoses. It's on the firewall side of the red hose.

I'm not sure if it's the same but here's a diagram of how the filter is routed on the 2.0L TDI engines. It should be similar on your engine because they both have 4 hoses. It looks like there's a water drain but I don't think anybody ever uses it or finds water.

I thought it was a fuel filter. There have been a few small changes and the biggest change was the 2013 engine. What does your engine look like?

In the US only the 3.0 V6 TDI is available.

Thanks for the parts info. Does your ETKA source indicate what part the horizontal silver tube is?

I thought it was a filter because the older ones showed some sort of filter there but I could be wrong. If you change the filter, can you make a DIY with a new wiki article?
