Free Conversion Utility

Hi guys/gals.

I've seen a lot of threads on here talking about many thinks and some on the units shown are US/UK/Euro or what ever.

Now I made a Conversion Utility 10 years ago for our students at work. It will convert Area, Force, Fuel Consumption, Length (Distance), Mass (Weight), Power, Pressure, Temperature, Torque (Turning Force), Velocity (Speed), Volume (Capacity).

Now some of you may know I make programmes using Visual Basic 6.0.

If you using Win2k/WinXP/Vista/Windows 7 then this should be installed by default. If you are using Win9x/ME then you will have to download the VB6 Runtime files from

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...61-7A9C-43E7-9117-F673077FFB3C&displaylang=en

Even if you are using a WinNT to could download these runtime files and update yours to service pack 6.0.

Just extract Conversion Utility.exe to anywhere you have admin rights and do a virus/malware scan though it will be clean.

Let me know if you want different types of conversion and I'll add it, or if you find any bugs in it.

I have posted this on other VW forums and had good comments, have fun. ;)

I've always used convert, another free conversion tool. It doesn't have a fuel consumption conversion though, thanks!
Yes but thats probably online if you can't get online then you're stuffed. :)
Well its been up here for a week and only 2 downloads and no comments. It makes me wonder if you want anything useful for free along with the other free apps I've uploaded.

Ok I'll charge you if it makes you feel any better? ;)
Cheers chitty.

Well you wouldn't think so if no one comments good or bad would you? ;)

Thanks... KeithUK.
I have a manual, but everything is in Nm and I was getting all kinds of erroneous info from the WWW. I converted the Nms to ft lbs and your conversion table verified I did it right.
FYI- mine is a 2006 Jetta TDI. Only had it a week and want to do the timing belt, but couldn't figure out the Nms so now I know.
Thanks again
Reed
As I've said I made this app 10 years ago just to help the lads at the College I worked at so I haven't updated it since as I'm to busy with other apps, I really need to update the fuel con.
