Greetings,

I have a 2010 TDI Sportwagen with a manual trans that I love, and for the last year my husband has been gradually upgrading everything from the rims, tires and pedals to mudflaps and a nice chrome insert for the lower grill. For my birthday he will be adding front foglights and a rear foglight/tailight. With the vagcom cable he confirmed the computer is the highline and that the car would work with the new switch/light setup. But the lights haven't arrived yet, and he reset the computer back to its original configuration, but now I have a yellow (!) on my dash and the information display keeps insisting I must check my right and left front fog lights. I'm curious if anyone has any input as to clearing that up... if not I'll just ignore it until the lights go in.

He can turn that off with VCDS. I just went through these same upgrades myself.

In addition, you can also set it so that the car doesn't know if the foglights are burnt out or not (can also do for some other lights) It's the cold diagnosis option. Nice blog, if you find the site helpful how about a plug

Consider this forum 'plugged'! I added it to my blog's 'cool links' and also put an update into my TDI posts. When I post the update with the picts of the new changes I'll plug this site again; it's only fair after all the info I've gained while lurking here. My husband said he'll just leave it be for now - the parts should be here any day now and I can't wait!
