I noticed the other day that the VW sportwagen TDI has dual exhaust and my Audi A3 TDI has a single exhaust. Why the difference?

I think it's partly to do with Audi being the higher end car or posher version that it has these little touches to make it look worth more money.:)

VW uses a dual TIP tailpipe, as Audi uses a single TIP tailpipe. VW is not a dual exhaust on the non-GTI model. Apparently it was a simple aesthetic thing that VW has used on the Golf model for a while.
