I'm curious to know if anyone on the forum knows the tire pressure specs for the Golf TDI in Europe. Seems that we here, in NA, only get the max. pressure for top speed with a full load. In Europe they have specs. for various loads and speeds, but the manual only says to check the sticker on the door post.

No but generally speaking, a little overinflated vs. the manufacturer's specs but always under the max cold pressure rating of the tire is good.

A quick way to figure out psi for your loading and driving style AND cornering is to look at the wear marks on the edge of the tread. You could also put some easily removed paint at points around the sidewall-tread boundaries (For example, paint at 12 and 6 o'clock) so that it gets worn off as you drive. Inflate on the high side. This is a basic way of seeing how much cornering load each tire has.

Use the max psi the manual says. What is it, 30-34? Try experimenting with higher pressure in the front too since that's where most of the weight is.
