You can do some researching out there. Plenty of methods... everything from JB Weld (literally a two-part epoxy) to MIG welding. None of them are easy to do and none of them are guaranteed to give you lasting or good results. The last thing you want is a failure and loss of oil. That would be way more expensive than replacing it with a reconditioned block.

I bought a 2012 VW Passat TDI 2.0 Automatic transmission As-is with a engine cracked block above oil pan behind transmission, part come off .. see picture.
is there any way to weld it or use any type of glue or silicone to put the part together.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
