It depends what is wrong with it.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

I did, Engine doesn't start, with ignition on the on position and scanned, no codes appear.

When mine failed, the engine started, but because it failed open, it would not run faster than idle before it missed, belched smoke, and otherwise wouldn't run without stumbling. Codes were thrown for MAF, EGR, and oxygen sensor.
