So as my EGR valve diaphragm is busted and it keep poping the CEL, i told myself that i should try reduce the EGR flow with the VCDS to see if the cel would stay shut, which i made successfuly.

so far the CEL didnt come back after 2 days.

But, i am not 100% positive, since i changed that parameter the car seems to make more smoke...could this parameter modification into the ECU of the car affect something else in the fueling department?

The vacuum line to the EGR is physicaly not connected since day 1 so the ecu never had control over the egr before/after the modification into the ecu, so the new issue cannot be related to the egr valve itself.
