Dual Mass Fywheel Replacement

Just swapped out the flywheel on my daughters 06 TDI Jetta. If you are planning on doing this, I suggest pulling the sub-frame and the drivers side lower suspension arm. After fighting with the tranny a while, it fell right out after removing these! It is not mentioned in the FAQ on the manual tranny but the auto may be bigger. I hope the new one does not start the "death rattle" for a long time. The first did last 90k. I HATE all of the special tools you have to get for the VW. I have a 95 3000gt Twin Turbo and I believe it is easier to work on! Whoever invented the "triple square bits / 12 point / XZN / serrated wrench and 12 point metric socket head screws" must have went to the same school as the guy who put the quarter size spout on the Castrol oil jug!
