Does the DSG transmission supplied for the 2010 TDI Golf have the same torque handling capacity as the AUDI TT? What is the rated torque capacity, and is there any record of performance limitations?

It's probably the same 258 ft-lb of torque as the other FWD DSG. It's the same transmission as the Audi A3 TDI and Jetta A3 TDI. Plenty have modded over that with the gas models with no ill effects but it's possible a torque spike when you stop on the throttle could cause a little slipping. A diesel has power down low, a gas car has power higher.

Do you mean the Audi TT TDI? It comes stock with a 168 hp TDI engine with 258 lb-ft of torque so it must have more torque limits.
