Yesterday after a 100 mile trip I stopped for an hour. Got back in, started and maneuvered out of spot. Accelerating away the engine seemed to stumble, lose power, and the dsg seemed to slip. Like flooring it and getting only 2000 rpm. Power felt like running a manual at 2000rpm with clutch not fully engaged. Then there was what felt like jumping, as if tires started slipping and anti slip was engaging.

Seemed to go away. I have a small trip today, will see if this is an ongoing issue.

Thought I'd see if anyone has experienced this. If you have, thanks for sharing your experience/knowledge.

Had a problem with my series V TDI golf with dsg gearbox. It would it would intermittently shudder after it changed up a gear. I had to demonstrate the fault to the head mechanic at the vw service centre (car was still under warranty). After they conferred with Gernany they told me that the six clutch plates in the gear box were too thick and needed to be replaced with thinner ones. When that was done had no further problems with shudder.

Sorry to say but it sounds like your Mechatronics Assy is starting to go in your DSG autmatic transmission. I'm getting mine replaced next week. Numerous symptoms occur ie ESP indicator comes on and stays on, tranny slides into neutral, tranny has problems after going into reverse, tranny hesitates between 2-3 etc. Good Luck.
