I have a 2006 VW Jetta TDI Pumpe duse BRM with a DSG automatic transmission and i need to change the DMF dual mass flywheel. I need to change it because it sounds like its about to come apart any day now. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this? I have looked at the http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a5/transmission-removal-VW-Jetta.htm which is great and cover most of it but is for a 5 speed manual transmission.

Thanks
Elmo

Yes. When you get the transmission off, remove the radiator fan and you can slide the transmission enough so that you don't have to remove it, just slide it over while supported from the top or with a jack. There should be enough clearance to fit in the wrench to remove the flywheel.
