The OEM boots don't last so I don't think it makes a difference if you use OEM or aftermarket. http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/b5/CV-boot-broken-replacement.htm Here is the procedure. FYI, someone tried out the boot stretching tool and said it didn't work at all. You could give it a try or replace the boost the old fashioned way.
