So... my OEM plastic splash guard has finally bitten the dust and I’m looking for a replacement.

The Dieselgeek one is unavailable for the foreseeable future for the MK V and the ECS own brand one is out of stock until end of July at earliest.

What would anyone recommend right now? (Or does anyone have a used one that I could buy and then get a mounting kit for?)

Thanks, D.

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Forum Rules and Guidelines

This is a new forum layout which is owned by a company 6 months ago that doesn't give a dam with loads of bugs which have been reported in the new thread. There is no TDI Wiki at the moment or original similes. It doesn't show the car spec/location.

Add your car specs to your signature that will show on every post you make.

We Are Live - Community Feedback

This has been talked about many times.

I've made a poll which no one has posted in, there are a few votes and comments.

Do you like the new forum features?

Wiki pages have been restored as of 7th December, I asked where is the link it should be on top of the main forum.

I really like the one from ECS tuning and it's saved my oil pan quite a few times. I don't know how big of a hurry you are in but it goes on sale periodically for around $200

I’ve had accounts at most of the VW/TDI forums but couldn’t remember my login for here and none of my emails worked in the forgot password page so I just made a new account and didn’t post in the intro section again. I did a lot of searching regarding a skid plate/ splash guard but didn’t get much info as most people keep recommending the DG one.

I’ve had my current 2009 Jetta TDI for about 5 years and have driven halfway across the US and Canada With no issues other than routine maintenance and some rust work.

I also had an 80s TDI VW pickup about 15 years back that I really miss as it was indestructible...

I’d be happy with that one if it wasn’t out of stock until the end of July...
