Having read over this thread several times, Sportsrider gave solid rational advice (have your car fixed at the place you want to fix it). Not his fault someone else was offended for not doing the same. While a smiley face is cute, I doubt it would pacify glenmax.

Is this your insurance company telling you this or the other driver's? Even though no one likes to believe that they are at fault for an accident, do you think their assessment may be right? Possible that both drivers shared some fault?

If you haven't already, talk with the claims person from your company and find out why its your fault. Its okay to politely disagree if you have a valid reason.
